If you run paid user acquisition, a mobile measurement partner (MMP) is the difference between knowing what works and guessing. This is what one actually does — and why every growing app needs one.
The attribution problem
App installs don’t come with a clean paper trail. A user might see an ad on one network, search the store, and install days later. Without a neutral third party stitching those touchpoints together, every ad network claims the same install — and you pay for it twice.
Where the MMP fits
The MMP sits between your app and the ad networks, receiving install and in-app event signals through its SDK and attributing each install to the touchpoint that earned it. Appsflyer, Adjust and Kochava are the main players.
Why setup is everything
An MMP is only as good as its implementation. Misconfigured events, missing SKAdNetwork setup or partner integrations that never got finished will quietly poison every report built on top. This is exactly the kind of foundation we audit and rebuild.
